Translation services

Translating verpons to other languages is an essential part of the internationalization of conscientiology. To that end ISIC offers to perform services, where needed, in the following main areas: translation of written materials, simultaneous translation and consecutive translation.

Translation

Translation is the communication of meaning from one language (the source) to another language (the target). Translation refers to written information. The purpose of translation is to convey the original tone and intent of a message, taking into account cultural and regional differences between source and target languages.

ISIC offers its translation services for the following written materials:

  • Introductory information about a CI
  • The CI’s Websites
  • Marketing materials
  • Course materials
  • Journal Articles
  • Books
  • Glossaries
  • Specialities
  • Subtitles

In addition, the following are being considered for translation:

Simulataneous Translation

Simultaneous translation or simultaneous interpretation is the process of translating an oral message from one language into another. It is done immediately, which means that the interpreter renders the message into the target language, as the speaker continues generating content in the source language.

Currently, ISIC is involved in providing simultaneous translation services from Portuguese to the English and Spanish languages, however we hope to expand to many other languages in the foreseeable future.

ISIC offers its services in simultaneous translation for the following activities:

  • Short courses
  • Regular courses
  • Conferences and symposiums
  • Events
  • Interviews
  • Talks
  • Meetings

Consecutive Translation

Consecutive translation is the process of oral translation in which the speaker makes a pause necessary for the interpreter to translate all that the presenter said.

Such type of translation is generally used at events with a limited number of participants.

If your conscientiological institution, pre-institution, invisible college or other related group is interested in having ISIC perform one of the above services, enter in contact with us at isic.information@gmail.com

Furthermore, we are always in need of more people to help in this line of volunteering work. So, if you feel that you fit the profile of either translating written materials or simultaneous translation and are interested in helping in some way, we would be very happy to hear from you.
