As you see the Principle of Disbelief is, in theory, very simple. Yet, in practice, it is a serious challenge.

Our 5 physical senses along with the predominant paradigms and memes in the Socin (intraphysical society) act as the predominate influence on our perceptions, experiences and, more importantly, on our personal interpretations of our experiences.

In conscientiology’s scientific effort to understand more about life and our multidimensional reality, some important questions are raised, such as:

How can we amplify and maturely integrate our innate “sixth sense”?

How could we try to apply and use that and other parapsychic abilities in a homeostatic way?

How can we move from a largely shared, objective, physical reality to a somewhat shared, far more subjective (yet just as real), multidimensional reality?

What principles or factors can we use to orient ourselves in exploring this far richer and more complicated part of our existence?

How can we live with the knowledge accumulated in our personal and societies’ past, without it unduly restricting the discovery, development, accumulation and integration of advanced leading edge relative truths?

One answer to these questions is the practical, personal understanding and application of the Principle of Disbelief.

The Principle of Disbelief i.e. self-experimentation, demands incessant growth from a consciousness. This is because a process begins of liberating oneself from indoctrinations, brainwashings, manipulations, relying on the path of least resistance, and following the law of least effort.

This core proposition of conscientiology stimulates individuals to pass every idea, technique and method through their own process of self-experimentation, reflection and critical and rational analysis. With this a person begins to substitute faith or belief with the knowledge resulting from direct rational experimentation.

Conscientiology does not intend to convince anyone of anything, but seeks to submit the results of consciousness research to those who are interested, for critical evaluation and, crucially, if they wish to be coherent with the Principle of Disbelief, self-experimentation.

Disbeliefology is a sub-field of conscientiology.

The following is a presentation (a TEDx presentation) given by Dr. Waldo Vieira, that covers more than just the Principle of Disbelief but if you jump 6:05 in (and also the last 2 minutes) you will hear his thoughts on the Principle of Disbelief.
